India's First AI-Powered Personalized Learning Platform Launches for Board Exam Students

India's First AI-Powered Personalized Learning Platform Launches for Board Exam Students

EdTech startup Embibe, backed by the Adani Group, has launched India's first fully AI-powered personalized learning platform for CBSE and state board students in Classes 10 and 12. The platform, named 'Embibe Genius', uses large language models to create individualized study plans, generate custom practice problems, and provide real-time doubt resolution in 8 Indian languages.

How It Works

When a student joins the platform, the AI conducts a 30-minute diagnostic assessment that maps their conceptual understanding across all subjects. Based on the results, it creates a personalized study plan that adapts daily based on the student's progress, learning speed, and retention patterns. The system identifies exactly which concepts need reinforcement and allocates study time accordingly.

The doubt resolution feature uses a multimodal AI that can understand questions asked via text, voice, or photographs of handwritten problems. It provides step-by-step solutions in the student's preferred language, with visual explanations for complex concepts. In testing, the AI resolved 89% of student doubts accurately, with an average response time of 3 seconds.

"The biggest challenge in Indian education is the one-size-fits-all approach. Every student learns differently, and AI finally allows us to provide truly personalized education at scale," said Embibe CEO Aditi Avasthi at the launch event in Mumbai.

The platform is available free for government school students, funded by the Adani Foundation, while private school students pay Rs 2,999 per year. The company claims that beta testing with 50,000 students over the past six months showed an average score improvement of 23% in board examinations. The platform will expand to cover competitive exam preparation including JEE and NEET by 2027.
